Column Expansion Procedure

Overview

In the Community Edition, you can use 26 columns for each of the following column types: "Class Column", "Numeric Value Column", "Date Column", "Description Column", "Check Column", and "Attachment Column" for a total of 156 columns. However, you can expand the number of columns in the Enterprise Edition.

DB Maximum number of columns available in the Enterprise Edition Notes
SQL Server Up to 900 columns in total for the six column types
PostgreSQL Up to 900 columns in total for the six column types
MySQL Up to 256 columns in total for the six column types MySQL is compatible with Pleasanter version 1.4.9.0 and later.

Expanded columns are created with consecutive numbers starting from "001" (Class 001, Class 002, etc.).
Follow these steps to expand columns or change the number of expanded columns.

Cautions

Expanding columns will change the table structure of the time-bound table (Issues table) and record table (Results table). In particular, when reducing the number of columns, the columns themselves are deleted from the table, so any data registered in the columns added through column expansion will be lost. Be sure to back up your data before expanding the column.

Prerequisites

This procedure assumes that you have upgraded Pleasanter to the Enterprise Edition.

Operation Procedure

  1. Back up your database
  2. Edit and save Issues.json and Results.json
  3. Run CodeDefiner
