License Renewal Procedure
Overview¶
If you have renewed your annual support service contract and extended the Enterprise Edition license period, please update your license file using this procedure.
Limitations¶
- When the license file expires, the following occurs:
- The license will revert to the AGPL (GNU Affero General Public License).
- If you have expanded columns, the expanded columns will be hidden. However, the data in the database will remain saved.
- The limit on the number of registered users will be lifted.
- Pleasanter Extensions (Development Tools, Operations Tools) will no longer be available.
Prerequisites¶
- This procedure assumes that you have upgraded Pleasanter to the Enterprise Edition.

1. Storing the License File¶
- Stop Pleasanter.
- Windows Environment
- Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- In the left pane, select "Site" - "Default Web Site" and click "Stop" in the right pane.
- Linux Environment
- Execute the following command:

- Open the App Service and click "Stop".

Overwrite and copy "Implem.License.dll" included in the license pack to the following folders depending on your environment:
- Windows Environment
- C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.Pleasanter
- C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.CodeDefiner
- Linux Environment
- /web/pleasanter/Implem.Pleasanter
- /web/pleasanter/Implem.CodeDefiner
- Azure App Service Environment
- C:\home\site\wwwroot\
- C:\home\site\CodeDefiner
The above paths are for installations following the instructions in our online manual. Please adapt them appropriately for your environment.
2. Verify the Upgrade¶
- Launch Pleasanter.
- Windows Environment
- Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
- In the left pane, select "Site" - "Default Web Site" and click "Start" in the right pane.
- Linux Environment
- Execute the following command:

Azure App Service Environment
- Open App Service and click "Start".

Log in to Pleasanter and check the following from "Help" - "Version" in the navigation menu.
- The license is set to "Commercial License".
- The license expiration date is correct (for a license valid until the end of February, it will display 3/1).
- The user is correct.
3. Column Expansion¶
The Community Edition allows you to use 156 columns in total, including 26 for each column type: "Class Column", "Numeric Value Column", "Date Column", "Description Column", "Check Column" and "Attachment Column". The Enterprise Edition allows you to expand the number of columns.
