How to Upgrade Pleasanter Enterprise Edition

Overview

This section explains the procedure for upgrading Pleasanter in an environment using the Enterprise Edition. Please be sure to follow these instructions, especially if you have expanded columns.

Cautions

  1. Be sure to back up your database before upgrading.

  2. Be sure to use the license file currently in use. If you have expanded column, running CodeDefiner with an expired license file will delete the expanded column and prevent you from accessing the data you entered.

Prerequisites

  1. This procedure assumes that you have upgraded Pleasanter to the Enterprise Edition.

Operation Procedure

  1. Back up the license file
  2. Back up Issues.json and Results.json
  3. Complete the upgrade process up to "Deploy Pleasanter"
  4. Store the license file
  5. Store Issues.json and Results.json
  6. Complete the upgrade process from "Run CodeDefiner" onwards
  7. Confirm the upgrade

1. Back up the license file

Back up the license file from your current environment. The file should be stored in the following location:

C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.Pleasanter
1. Linux Environment

/web/pleasanter/Implem.Pleasanter
1. Azure App Service Environment

C:\home\site\wwwroot\

The above paths are for installations following the instructions in our online manual. Please adjust accordingly for your environment.

2. Back Up Issues.json and Results.json

If your environment has an expanded column, back up Issues.json and Results.json. The files are stored in the following locations: If you have not extended column, this step is unnecessary and you can proceed to step 3.

* /web/pleasanter/Implem.Pleasanter/App_Data/Parameters/ExtendedColumns

3. Complete the upgrade process up to step "4. Deploy Pleasanter"

Complete the upgrade process up to step 4, "Deploy Pleasanter", following the instructions in our online manual.

4. Store the license file

Overwrite and copy the license file backed up in 1 to the following folder depending on your environment.

C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.Pleasanter

C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.CodeDefiner
1. Linux Environment

/web/pleasanter/Implem.Pleasanter

/web/pleasanter/Implem.CodeDefiner

*Step 4.3 "Parameter Reset" in the Azure App Service upgrade procedure is performed in a local environment. The above path indicates the work path in a local environment.

The above path is for installations following the instructions in our online manual. Please adjust accordingly depending on your environment.

You can also use the "Implem.License.dll" included in the license pack as the license file to be stored. In that case, please make sure it is the license file for your current contract.

5. Store Issues.json and Results.json

Overwrite the Issues.json and Results.json files you backed up in step 1 by copying them to the following folders depending on your environment.

* C:\web\pleasanter\Implem.Pleasanter\App_Data\Parameters\ExtendedColumns
1. Linux environment
* /web/pleasanter/Implem.Pleasanter/App_Data/Parameters/ExtendedColumns

* C:\home\site\wwwroot\App_Data\Parameters\ExtendedColumns

6. Perform the upgrade procedure from step "5. Run CodeDefiner" onwards

7. Version upgrade confirmation

  1. Log in to Pleasanter and check the following from "Help" - "Version" in the navigation menu.
  2. The license is set to "Commercial License".
  3. The license expiration date is correct (for licenses valid until the end of February, it will display as 3/1).
  4. The user is correct.
  5. The version is correct.
  6. If you have expanded columns, check the following:
  7. Open any table, and from the navigation menu, click "Manage" - "Manage Table" In the "Editor" tab, check that the expanded column (Class 001, Number 001, etc.) appear in the option list.
  8. Open the editing screen for the table where you configured the expanded columns and check that all columns are displayed.
