FAQ: I want to know the search order for obtaining the site ID closest to the site in question when searching by site name

## Answer The order in which the "「Site Name Search」" searches for the relevant site is as follows. 1. Whether the site is a search target site or not 2. Whether the search target site exists at the same level 3. Whether the search target site exists in a folder at the same level 4. Whether the search target site exists at one level above 5. Whether the search target site exists in a folder at one level above --- ## Overview The "「Site Name Search API」" , script, and server script search for the relevant site by site name. This page explains the order of searches. Note that although the same name can be set for multiple sites in Pleasanter, if there are multiple sites with the same site name, the "「Site Name Search」" function may not search for the site the user wants. When using "「Site Name Search」", please operate the site so that the site name is not duplicated. ## Limitations 1. If there are multiple sites with the same site name at the same level, it is uncertain which one will be searched, so the expected site may not be found. ## Prerequisites 1. The "「Site Name Search」" function searches for the "site name" of the site. Please set the site name in advance. Please note that this is not the "「Title」" of the site. ![image](https://pleasanter.org/binaries/58b224c7c57345248018f022728bd287) ## Search Order *) In the following explanation, "site" refers to a general term for folder, time limited table, result table, Wiki, and dashboard. 1. If your site is a search site name, it returns your site ID. 1. If a search site name is found in the list of sites at the same level as your site, it returns the site ID. 1. If there is a folder at the same level as your site, it searches that folder in a depth-first order, and if a search site name is found, it returns the site ID. 1. If there is no site below the own site in "3", move to the next level above the own site, and if the search site name is found in the list of sites one level above, return the ID of that site. 1. From then on, repeat the process of 2-4 by replacing the own site with the current site, and if the search site name is found, return the ID of that site. 1. If all sites are searched and not found, return -1. ### Search Example ![image](https://pleasanter.org/binaries/6e7147ee66db4ba39bd0ad13e3525e04) |Original site (No)|Search site name|Search result site No|Notes| |:--------|:---|---:|:----------------------| |Task Management (7)|Task Management|7|My site| |New table 1 (8)|Task Management|7|In the same hierarchy| |New table 1 (8)|Business Negotiations|11|Not in the same hierarchy → In the hierarchy below my hierarchy (9)| |New table 1 (8)|WBS|3|Not in the same hierarchy → Not in the hierarchy below my hierarchy (9) → In the hierarchy above my hierarchy (2)| |New table 1 (8)|Store List|15|Not in the same hierarchy → Not in the hierarchy below my hierarchy → Not in the hierarchy above my hierarchy (2) → In the hierarchy below the hierarchy (14) above the hierarchy (2)| ## Related Information

The specified information was not found.
